Pay Information:
$75,000- $105,000 / Year

Position Summary: This position is for a Civil Engineer to join our team in the Cincinnati office to work on a variety of projects with our valued customers in the utility industry.
The Civil Engineer position is a great opportunity to learn and support our construction projects ranging in value from ten million to two hundred million dollars. This role is excellent preparation for higher positions in the engineering, project controls, quality, project management, or operations departments at Trans Ash. Travel required around 20 percent of the time to our out-of-town construction projects.
Essential Functions:
- Provide technical planning, design and construction support on major heavy civil / environmental construction projects.
- Responsible for analyzing and reporting both cost and schedule data.
- Develop project schedules using Primavera P6 software.
- Analyze drone survey data utilizing Trimble Propeller software.
- Tracks and trends cash flow reports.
- Perform value engineering analysis and provide ideas to optimize a project scope
- Responsible for maintaining effective relationships with customers, supporting the resolution of issues, and completing assignments (proposals, project tasks, reports, etc.).
- Perform plan review and takeoffs utilizing AutoCad Civil 3d and Bluebeam software.
- Manage resource (Heavy Equipment) allocation and planning per the Primavera schedule to forecast capital expenditure.
- Work with the Estimating team and Accounting team to manage Bid conformance and budget management.
Job Qualifications:
Education:
- Relevant Bachelor’s degree (Civil Engineering, Construction Management, etc.)
Knowledge:
- Experience in Civil or Environmental Construction Projects.
- Experience using software such as Business Objects, MS Office Suite.
Other Desired Qualifications:
- Highly engaged self-starter identifying problems and offering possible solutions and taking appropriate action for resolution
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Must have the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment
Other Information:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Some physical activity outdoors required for this position
- Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds at times
- Must be able to safely traverse on uneven and rocky soil.
- Estimated 20 percent travel required.
